A delicious iced mocha recipe for you! Try it, I’m pretty sure you’ll love it! You can also try this mocha frappuccino if you’d like a blended version.
This iced mocha recipe is not “blended”, but iced. So you do not need a blender, just whole or crushed ice! It is very quick and easy. Add whipped cream on top and you’re all set!
For the cocoa powder, I use Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate and I love it. They also have an unsweetened version. You can use Hershey’s chocolate too if you prefer or if you don’t have any cocoa on hand.
Also try adding a little vanilla extract for added flavor!

Hi there, I’m new to brewing coffee, may I know if espresso powder is suitable for this recipe?
I would try some but I don’t know how to make coffee
This is so good! How can I take this recipe and make it a little more slushy?
Try this recipe. It’s a blended mocha: http://homecoffeerecipes.com/irresistible-mocha-frappuccino-recipe/
This was really good. I added a 1/4 tsp instant coffee grounds as my brewed coffee was not strong enough and I also used hersheys syrup as I didn’t have any cocoa, I omitted the sugar. It came out fantastic. Next shopping trip I will get original ingredients. Thanks for the recipe ๐
Excellent and very simple recipe!

Thx for this recipe I made one for my history teacher and used and old starbucks bottle when he tasted it he couldn’t believe it was homemade ๐
Your welcome. I am so glad to hear your history teacher couldn’t tell it was homemade, that’s what I’m aiming for with these recipes ๐
That Was amazing!!! Tastes great
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Really good! I added Mexican pure vanilla. And 2 % milk
I can’t seem to get the cocoa powder to mix, does anyone have any suggestions??
Make sure you are mixing the hot coffee/espresso shots into the cocoa powder before you add the ice and milk. It should mix up fine that way. ๐
Amazing recipe, googled after me and my wife just tasted one for the first time in McDonald’s. Wow this is exactly the same!!!! Thanks.
Ben, that’s great to hear! Glad you two enjoyed it!
Gotta say this recipe is better than Starbucks. Guess who isn’t going to Starbucks anymore! This girl!!! So glad I found this cause all my other attempts were terrible fails
Thanks, so glad you liked it!
I have a similar recipe, only I used cold pressed coffee. My problem is that the cocoa doesn’t dissolve and tends to want to separate and settle on the bottom Suggestions?
Here’s a suggestion: FOLLOW THE RECIPE!
use sugar free hersheys syrup
Make sure you mix the hot coffee/espresso with the cocoa first before adding the ice
delicious…..also if you are on the Southbeach Diet plan, use sugar free hersheys syrup (one shot), splenda and 1% milk. So yummy and you feel like you are drinking what everyone else can have.
I made mine as directed only used half and half for the milk:)
