Peanut Butter M&M Frappuccino Recipe

by Coffeemom

Peanut Butter M&M Frappuccino

Peanut butter m&ms are one of my absolute favorite candies! I buy one of those big bags, because, well, the small bag would be gone in one bite! The problem is, I end up eating most of the bag by myself, usually in one day and then I end up with a stomach that is not real happy with me. So, I don’t buy them very often!

Well, as you may know from my other posts, I LOVE frappuccinos (or blended coffee/espresso drinks). So I had these peanut butter m&ms and thought that sounded like a wonderful frappuccino.

So here it is. Yum Yum Yum!

Peanut Butter M&M Frappuccino

Ingredients

  • 9 ice cubes
  • 1/3 cup coffee or 2 shots of espresso (use cold coffee/espresso or see instructions below on how to cool it off before adding to the blender)
  • 1/4 cup vanilla syrup. If you don’t have a United Grocers or Cash and Carry near you, you can still get a pretty good deal on Amazon buying the Torani Variety Pack
  • 1tbls Chocolate powder. I like to use Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate
  • 1/3 cup Peanut butter m&m’s
  • 1/3 cup half and half or milk (half and half makes frappuccinos even more delicious!)
  1. Put ice cubes in the blender.
  2. Add the Vanilla syrup, chocolate powder and M&Ms.
  3. Add the coffee/espresso shots. If your using fresh hot coffee/shots, make sure you mix some of the cold milk/half and half with it and then plop an ice cube in to cool it down the rest of the way before pouring the coffee into the blender. You want to melt the ice as little as possible!
  4. Add  the half and half/milk.
  5. Blend for 30 seconds or more.

Enjoy your delicious PB M&M frappuccino!

Super Easy Hazelnut Mocha Recipe!

by Coffeemom

Okay, so I was doing some experimenting. I happened to have some chocolate milk I had bought from the store. I also had some International Delights Hazelnut Creamer that my mom sent home with me at Christmas. I never used to use my little 4 cup coffee maker unless my parents came over or other company, but a couple months ago I bought a bag of coffee beans from Costco, and I make a pot of coffee and make myself a mocha or 2 a day at times. What I don’t use from the pot, I just stick in the fridge for the next day or two.

So anyway, I though “why not try using the chocolate milk for the mocha and add some hazelnut creamer to make myself a hazelnut mocha?

Well, I tried it, and I was hooked! You don’t even have to heat it up if you don’t want to! Just add some ice and you’ve got an iced hazelnut Mocha.

So on to the recipe….

[yumprint-recipe id=’2′]

I used 1 cup store brand chocolate milk (Fred Meyer) but I imagine it would taste even better with Darigold or something like that.

Pouring 1 cup of Chocolate Milk

1/4-1/3 cup fresh brewed coffee. You can keep the leftover coffee in the fridge to use later for an cold/iced mocha or heat it up again for a hot mocha.

Pouring the Coffee for the mocha

1/4 cup International Delight Hazelnut Liquid Creamer (non-dairy creamer). I also tried the Hazelnut Darigold Creamer made with real half and half, but I liked the International Delights better (Coffee-mate Coffee Creamer tastes great too.). It was a bit more of a sweet hazelnut, where the Darigold creamer was not that sweet and more of a “nutty” flavor.

*Please note, the links above are affiliate links to Amazon.com which I highly recommend if you don’t have a store nearby where you can buy these. Otherwise, I’m sure you can find these creamers or similar ones at any grocery store 🙂

Pouring in 1/4 cup of Hazelnut Creamer

1/4-1/2 cup of non fat milk to top it off. I did this so that it wouldn’t be too sweet with the chocolate milk and creamer. I used just 1/4 cup and it was just right for me, but some may want to lighten it up even more with more non fat milk.

Now you can put the whole thing in the microwave for 2 minutes more or less depending on your microwave if you want a hot hazelnut mocha and your done! (You may want pour the coffee in after you’ve microwaved the other ingredients together).

Iced Mocha: Simply use a bigger cup to accomodate the ice, follow the directions above and add 5 or 6 ice cubes.

Cold Mocha, no ice: Use refrigerated coffee instead of freshly brewed.

Iced Mocha Recipe-How to Make an Iced Mocha

by Coffeemom

Iced Mocha RecipeA delicious iced mocha recipe for you! Try it, I’m pretty sure you’ll love it! You can also try this mocha frappuccino if you’d like a blended version.

This iced mocha recipe is not “blended”, but iced. So you do not need a blender, just whole or crushed ice! It is very quick and easy. Add whipped cream on top and you’re all set!

For the cocoa powder, I use Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate and I love it. They also have an unsweetened version. You can use Hershey’s chocolate too if you prefer or if you don’t have any cocoa on hand.

Also try adding a little vanilla extract for added flavor!

Amazing Greens Iced Mocha

by Coffeemom

Green Iced Mocha Recipe

I’ve been buying Amazing Grass Green Superfood off Amazon for a couple years now. I’ll be honest, I’m not going to say that I can necessarily feel a difference when I’m using it, BUT I feel a little better knowing I’m getting a little extra healthy greens in my diet on a regular basis that I might not otherwise. I do not recommend drinking it by itself…. tastes like alfalfa with a bit of flavor lol but mix it with some Zippfizz (there is a Berry Flavor Amazing Grass), SlimFast (or other health drink/smoothie), or a mocha and it blends pretty well.

Today I will show you a very simple recipe for mixing with a, mostly, healthy iced mocha. I am using real sugar in the recipe, but you can substitute with your favorite sweetener if you like.  I realize the cream is going to give it a high fat content, but hey, you’ve got the high fat, low carb thing going on now where cream is perfectly acceptable, besides being delicious! (the sugar kind of cancels out the low carb idea, but use a natural sweetener and there you go!)

Ingredients:

16-20oz cup

1 scoop of Chocolate Amazing Grass Green Superfood (click the link to find it on Amazon. I buy the big canister to save money but they do have a smaller container)

2 tablespoons sugar (or use your favorite sweetener such as Splenda, Stevia, etc….)

1 cup ice cubes

1/3 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup hot coffee, or 2 shots of espresso

1/4 tsp Vanilla extract or imitation vanilla

Top off with water (or more coffee if you like it stronger!)

First, gather your ingredients while you brew your coffee.

Gather Ingredients for Amazing Grass Iced Mocha

Next, dump a scoop of the Amazing Grass Green Superfood, the vanilla and the sugar into your cup

Add Vanilla, Amazing Grass and Sugar to Mocha

Pour in your hot coffee and stir well.

Pour in the hot coffee and stir well

The ice cubes come next

Add the ice cubes to mocha

Then the cream……. YUM!

Pour heavy cream into ice/mocha mixture

Stir well, and top off your iced mocha if you need to with water (or more coffee!)

Stir and top off mocha with water or coffee

Let me know what you think of this yummy, green iced mocha recipe in the comments!

Irresistible Mocha Frappuccino Recipe!

by Coffeemom

Mocha Frappuccino with Whipped Cream

It’s so easy to make your own mocha frappuccino at home and save some money!

I don’t usually have syrups here at home to use for sweetening, so instead I use vanilla extract to add to the flavor if I’m just making a mocha frappuccino, or I use real peanut butter for a simply divine peanut butter frappuccino! You can also use cinnamon, almond extract or any other kind of extract you may have on hand.

This is a great recipe to use as a base for any flavor mocha frappuccino you want to make. Here are a couple tips:

  • Use cold coffee! Hot coffee will melt the ice and make it thin. Then you’ll have to add more ice, then the flavor will be diluted and you’ll end up with too much, etc… Use cold coffee ;). You can make coffee ahead of time to keep in the fridge, or you can add a little cold milk to it and set it in the freezer for a bit to cool it off. Keeping cold coffee in the refrigerator is definitely a time saver though.
  • Make sure to blend for at least 30 seconds so you don’t end up with chunks of ice. If your blender isn’t that great, then you’ll want to blend longer.

Let’s get this coffee party started…

(There are a couple affiliate links to Amazon.com in the recipe, but they are both products that I use or have used and highly recommend. Plus they are a pretty decent price on Amazon if you can’t find them in a grocery store)
